Artist Phạm Trang
Pham Trang got Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance at Conservatory of Music
HCMC in 2006 under the guidance of Mer.A. Quốc Trụ. He has received his Master of Arts in Vocal Performance under the guidance of P.A Prof. Trung Kiên in 2011. He also studied with Prof. Cho Hong Rae (South Korea) in 3 years. After that, in 2012, he got a refresher course at Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg (Germany).
As an experienced artist, his repertoire includes many art songs and roles in famous operas such as: Alfredo in Verdi’s opera La Traviata, Nemorino in Donizetti’s opera L’elisir d’amore, Rodolfo in Puccini’s opera La Boheme, Don Jose in Bizet’s opera
Carmen, Calaf in Puccini’s opera Turandot,... He has performed many concerts and
going on tour to many domestic and foreign venues. Since being HBSO’s member, he has added several more roles in HBSO’s productions, such as : The Young Fellow in Prof. Ca Le Thuan’s opera The Dunes Keeper, Turiddu in Mascagni’s opera Cavalleria Rusticana, Prince Aeneas in Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas, Prince Tamino in Mozart’s opera Die Zauberflöte, Alfred in Strauss’s operette Die Fledermaus, Max in Weber’s opera Der Freischütz, Ex-wife’s Lover in opera of crime Yesterday’s Memory – the first operatic crime in Vietnam.
He is now living in HCMC and currently working as the Deputy Head and a soloist of
HBSO’s Opera Department, guest teacher at Conservatory of Music and Army
University.
