REGULATION RULE OF
PRELIMINARY ROUND
VIDEO AUDITION
- Audition fee: free of charge -
1. Preliminary Round - Video Audition Requirement: The requirements are different between Professional Candidates (those who are attending or have recently graduated from a professional musical training institution) and Amateur Candidates. Please review carefully before preparing your audition:

Video 01 : A short introduction of yourself and explain the reasons why you would like to participate in the audition for VYMI EduConcert: Mozart & Now. Also, please introduce the title of the piece you will be playing. Video 02 : second AND third movements from one of the following concerti, according to your instrument. Candidates must perform with a pianist (playing the orchestral reduction): Flute Concerto no. 1 in G major, K. 313 Violin Concerto no. 2 in D major, K. 211 Piano Concerto no. 17 in G major, K. 453 | Video 01: A short introduction of yourself and explain the reasons why you would like to participate in the audition for VYMI EduConcert: Mozart & Now. Also, please introduce the title of the piece you will be playing. Video 02: first movement from one of the following concerti, according to your instrument. Candidates must perform with a pianist (playing the orchestral reduction): Flute Concerto no. 1 in G major, K. 313 Violin Concerto no. 2 in D major, K. 211 Piano Concerto no. 17 in G major, K. 453 |
2. Application Process:
Step 1: Prepare and Upload both of your application videos to YouTube, set your video setting to Public or Unlisted.
Step 2: Fill in your personal information, and insert your YouTube links in the application form: https://forms.gle/wtkvcjf7eZMbLJvF6
Step 3: Submit your application by September 05, 2023
3. Technical notes regarding your Application Videos:
Please set your camera appropriately so that we can see your face and hands (also feet for piano candidates). We have attached HERE the sample photos so you know how to set the angle correctly. The video must be shot at a fixed angle, without shaking or noise.
Video quality should be at least 720p or higher, to ensure visual and sound quality.
The video must not be cut and edited with any sound or visual effects. Violations of this rule may result in disqualification from the audition.
The video must be recorded in one take. Please note: Professional Candidates need to record both 2nd and 3rd movements back to back, without stopping the video.
REGULATION RULE OF FINAL ROUND
LIVE AUDITION

1. Final Round - Live Audition Requirement:
Candidates who have successfully passed the Video Audition Round will be invited to participate in the Live Audition Round. Candidates will perform the same piece from the Video Audition Round. It is mandatory to perform with a pianist. Each candidate will be responsible to invite his/her pianist to the Live Audition Round.
2. Final Round - Live Audition Process:
The organizer will send an invitation letter of Live Audition including detailed instruction to candidates.
Grand pianos are provided at the audition site. Soundchecking schedule will be announced to the candidates via email.
