Cả vùng đất ấy bỗng trở nên nhộn nhịp lạ thường, tụi con nít bày ra đó biết bao nhiêu là trò chơi. Chẳng ai biết chính xác đó là trò gì, chẳng ai biết nó sẽ xảy ra ở những đâu. Nhưng mà ai ai cũng ngóng đợi. 

 Trò chơi này chỉ dành cho trẻ em thôi à? Có thêm một chút người lớn chơi cùng được không?

Là hoà nhạc lớn cuối cùng của VYMI Ensemble trong năm 2025 với những tác phẩm hoàn toàn mới, Khúc rong chơi đánh dấu sau nửa năm luyện tập miệt mài, nhóm hoà tấu VYMI Ensemble sẽ cùng khán giả khám phá trí tưởng tượng âm nhạc qua lăng kính trò chơi tuổi thơ.

Ở trung tâm là mười hai chương trong Jeux d’enfants của Bizet — những cảnh nhạc súc tích gợi hình ảnh đu quay, con quay, búp bê, kỵ sĩ gỗ, bong bóng xà phòng và những cuộc diễu hành trẻ nhỏ. Thay vì trình diễn như một tổ khúc liền mạch, các chương nhạc ngắn này được đan xen xuyên suốt chương trình, trở thành những khoảnh khắc kết nối đầy trong trẻo và kinh ngạc. Chúng như những trang sách được lật mở, hay những mảnh ký ức thoáng hiện, dẫn dắt người nghe qua các thế giới âm thanh chuyển biến. Xen giữa những bức tranh thu nhỏ ấy là các tác phẩm mang tinh thần sáng tạo phóng khoáng của trò chơi. Dancla biến giai điệu ru trẻ giản dị thành màn trình diễn rực rỡ; Beethoven tái tạo khúc hát phố thành hình thức biến tấu tinh tế; Milhaud thích thú với nhịp điệu bất ngờ và chuyển động linh hoạt; Brahms mang đến chiều sâu kịch tính của scherzo; và Rabl kết hợp nhiều giọng nhạc trong cuộc đối thoại sôi nổi. Việc đan cài Bizet giữa các tác phẩm này tạo nên hành trình từ ngây thơ đến tinh luyện — nhưng vẫn luôn quay trở về tia sáng tò mò khởi nguồn cho mọi sáng tạo. Ở đây, trò chơi không chỉ là vui thú, mà còn là phương thức nghệ thuật: một cách khám phá, thử nghiệm, biến hóa và thưởng ngoạn âm thanh.

Tuổi thơ trở thành không chỉ là hồi ức, mà còn là phương pháp — lời mời bền bỉ để lắng nghe với sự rộng mở và kinh ngạc.

Oh look, the groom! And there, the bride! 

A spinning top, a tiny doll, 

a ball in full swing

Children burst into games

no one quite knows what,

But everyone is watching.

Is there room for grown-ups to play too? 

Yes, there is!

As the final grand concert of VYMI Ensemble in 2025, Khúc rong chơi (Playtime) presents a collection of entirely new works. Marking the culmination of half a year of devoted rehearsals, the ensemble invites the audience to explore the imagination of music through the lens of childhood play.

At the heart of the program lies Bizet’s Jeux d’enfants — twelve miniature movements vividly depicting carousels, spinning tops, dolls, wooden horsemen, soap bubbles, and children’s parades.Instead of being performed as a continuous suite, these short movements are interwoven throughout the program, becoming sparkling moments of connection — like pages of a storybook turning, or fleeting fragments of memory guiding listeners through shifting sound worlds.

Between these musical vignettes are works that embody the playful spirit of creativity. Dancla transforms a simple lullaby into a virtuosic showpiece; Beethoven reimagines a street song into a work of refined variation; Milhaud delights in unexpected rhythms and nimble motion; Brahms offers the dramatic depth of a scherzo; and Rabl brings together multiple voices in lively dialogue.The interlacing of Bizet’s miniatures among these works creates a journey from innocence to sophistication — yet always returns to that spark of curiosity which ignites all creativity. Here, play is not merely amusement, but an artistic method: a way of exploring, experimenting, transforming, and savoring sound.

Childhood, then, becomes not only a memory, but a method — a lasting invitation to listen with openness and wonder.
